Is Tavool Stud Finder good:
Works as advertised. The display is backlit and easy to read and the back surface has soft fabric pads, so it doesn't scratch the drywall. It seems to get the edges of the 2x4s pretty reliably. Detects metal teleposts in stud mode as well. Easy to use and calibrate. The hot wire detection seems to be always on regardless of which mode you use and shows up as an additional icon when you slide over a wire, which is a plus.
